The first high school girls’ varsity volleyball match of the season took place Tuesday evening at Noblesville High School. The Lady Millers went up against the North Central Panthers. North Central won the first two sets, but Noblesville fought back and won the final three for an overall victory.

Final scores were 18-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-11 and 15-10.

Noblesville coach Steve Hawthorne said the Lady Millers did a great job bouncing back after the first two sets. “For being such a young team, we played with a lot of maturity,” Hawthorne said.

Noblesville and North Central’s junior varsity teams also played earlier in the evening, with Noblesville winning both sets.

Final scores were 25-18 and 25-11.

The Lady Millers’ next game will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Chatard High School.
