With the holidays just around the corner, most people like to get out and join in the festivities. Here’s a list of a few things to do around Hamilton county this season to celebrate.

 

 

Federal Hill Commons Ice Plaza

When: Starting November 24, 2017 through January 8th, 2018

Where: Federal Hill Commons in Noblesville

Time: Varies

Price: $12 admission

Anyone can participle in ice skating and rental ice skates are available also. Food trucks and vendors also come from 5pm – 9pm every Friday and Saturday. As if food wasn’t enough, come on Friday nights for fun theme days starting at 6pm for $10 admission. Check the Federal Hills Common website for specific dress up days.    

 

Nickel Plates Arts presents: KWA at Meyer-Najem

When: November 1, 2017 – December 29, 2017

Occurs: every week day

Where: Meyer-Najem Construction in Fishers

Price: Free

Meyer- Najee is hosting art exhibits open to the public and displaying works from local artists. Indianapolis filmmaker  KWA, will also be showing some of his still images from his abstract films. Some of the art works will also be available for sale.

 

Reynolds Christmas Lights display

When: November 21, 2017- January 1, 2018

Where: Reynolds Farm Equipment in Fishers

Occurs: Daily

Price: No charge

Reynolds Farm Equipment is keeping the tradition alive with its annual Christmas lights. Drive by the display free of charge and soak in the holiday spirit.

 

A Beef and Boards Christmas

When:  Runs from November 24 – December 23

Where: Beefs and Boards

Occurs: Daily during Matinee and Evenings

Price: from $43-$68

Starring Santa and his friends, Beef and Boards celebrates its 25th anniversary with a jolly Christmas musical.  

 

Sleigh Rides

When: December 1st – December 22nd

Where: Steinway Piano Gallery at Clay Terrace

Occurs: weekly on Friday

Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Price: Free

The holiday season is filled with lots of gift giving. This year while you shop for at Clay Terrace, enjoy free sleigh rides on Friday nights in December.

 

Donut 5K Holiday Run/Walk

When: December 23, 2017

Where: Carmel Racquet Club

Time: 9:00 AM

Price: $30

Help support your furry friends when you participate at the Donut 5K. Age group awards are offered along with costume awards for dogs. Grab one of Jack’s Donuts while having a blast on the course.

 

Fishers Winter Farmers’ Market

When: November 4, 2017 – March 17, 2018

Where: Roy G. Holland Memorial Park Building

Occurs: Weekly on Saturday

Time: 8 AM to 12 PM

Price: Free admission

Do you miss the farmer’s market this past summer? Don’t fret, because your favorite summer activity continues during the winter too! Come and get some locally grown produce as well as fun seasonal products.

 

Cure for Cabin Fever Drop-in Crafts

When: December 28 – 30 and January 3 – 5

Where: Nickel Plates Arts in Noblesville

Time: 12 PM to 5PM

Price: $10/art project

If you’re wanting an easy-going activity to do this winter, think about stopping by Nickel Plates Arts for some crafting. Crafts don’t take long to make and walk ins are more than welcome. All the materials and directions that are needed are provided too.

 

New Year’s Eve Extravaganza Presented by Taft

When: December 31, 2017

Where: The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts

Time: 9 PM

Price: $95 and up

Buy your tickets now for the awesome holiday party. Musical guests will make appearances.
