Seaman has been recognized nationally as a hero for stopping the shooter after tackling him and swatting the gun out of the shooter’s hand, during which Seaman was shot three times. “Im still processing much of what happened,” Seaman said. “But I can say with absolute certainty that I am proud to be a Miller.”

The Superintendent of Noblesville Schools, Dr. Beth Niedermeyer, spoke immediately after the communications director this morning. “We’re coming together to support one another in this time of need,” Niedermeyer said. “The outpouring of love and support that we’ve received from the Noblesville community, the state, and the nation has been a source of beauty during this ugly tragedy.” Niedermeyer explained that the school will be providing counseling for students now, during the summer, and into the school year as “an important part of the healing process.”
