More likely than not, you spent your summer vacation at home, sleeping in and playing video games. However if you had fancied spending your vacation with some teachers and your Spanish classmates, you could have gone on the school’s trip to Spain.

The group consisted of twelve students and two of our Spanish teachers. The group started their journey as any would, boarding an airplane at Indianapolis and taking it to JFK. Finally from JFK they took off to Spain.

On day one the toured Grenada and Malaga. The next day was spent in Alhambra, doing a photo scavenger hunt.

The group then spent two full days in the gorgeous city of Sevilla. Among the things they did in that city, they toured the beautiful cathedral and the massive stadium that lay in the town.

The next day they did a tour of a very unique mosque inside a chapel.

Madrid was the next stop on their trip, and they got to see the bull ring and football stadium in the city. They spent two days in Madrid before hoping on a train to Barcelona. The Sagrada Família was a favorite stop that the group saw in Spain.

“This building was the most beautiful structure I’ve ever been in,” said Jacob Moran, a senior on the trip, “It’s all so well-defined and everything has meaning.”

The group spent the final day in Barcelona. A last bike tour, last bite of gelato, and finally, our group came home.
