The holidays are full of joyful memories for many people. These memories can create a favorite present of all time. Many high school students have said that the best gifts they have received were the ones where a lot of thought and effort went into the planning.
Junior Italy Sage recalls her favorite gift she’s ever been given is a sweater from her best friend. This sweater was painted by a fellow classmate, and Sage fell in love with it. Her friend contacted the artist and was able to convince them to sell the sweater.
“I loved this gift because of how difficult it was to get, but also I mentioned the sweater and how cute it was once,” Sage said. “Having my best friend pay so much attention to that small comment was so sweet and made me feel so loved.”
Growing up, all junior Rowen Foster had ever wanted was a dog. Of course her parents knew this about her, which is why it meant so much to her when they finally gifted her Winston.
“I really love my dog and he makes me really happy,” Foster said.
Junior Enrique Camacho’s favorite present over the years has been when his parents gave him a trip to a fancy hotel. On this trip he was able to see his grandmother and cousin.
“I usually prefer material gifts, but this was a fun experience to go on a trip and do fun things,” Camacho said.
Junior Angel Wilson states his favorite present he’s ever received was his signature necklace. His mother gave it to him, which meant a lot because it was his first piece of jewelry ever.
“I like jewelry. I think it’s nice to accessorize and make yourself look as good as possible,” Wilson said.
