Noblesville is a community oriented city with constant activities, festivals, and other opportunities. There is something for everyone to do from shopping downtown, hitting up the farmers market, or going to Ruoff to listen to your favorite artists.
Callie Jessee is both a NHS and Ball State University Alum, and has worked at White River Canoe Company (WRCC) for 8 years. She works alongside her younger sister, Annie Jessee, whom Callie introduced to the company, and has made lifelong friends.
“It’s definitely the people that make it a fun place to work. Our staff and patrons always have such a good time together and we make giving our patrons a fun experience our priority.” Callie said.
The tight knit work environment translates into the community. WRCC is an active business in Noblesville and Hamilton County, always looking for ways to help and give back to the city.
“We are very involved in environmental stewardship,” Callie said. “We usually host several events through the summer in partnership with White River Alliance and the Noblesville, Fishers, and Carmel city departments that focus on cleaning up the River.”
Amelia Noelle, a senior at NHS, loves live music. She went to several concerts over the summer, including Snoop Dog and AJR. This summer, Noelle already has tickets to see Kesha and The Suicide Boys.
“I love having ruoff so close because I can go to a lot more concerts.” Noelle said.
Music is known for bringing people together, and Ruoff is no exception. You can connect with your friends and people around you so easily through music. It adds to the liveliness of the town and brings the community together.
“I am able to see a lot of my friends at the concerts without going with them or knowing they would be there,” Noelle said. “It’s always so much fun.”
