February 13th the NHS Miller girls varsity basketball team did it yet agian! With a huge win over North central high school the girls advanced to the sectional final where they will play the Fisher tigers to see who will advance on and get one step closer to state. “Tonight was amazing. We got an easy win and got the whole bench to play. Tomorrow is going to be a lot tougher. But I’ve waited four years for this so I’m not going to go down without a fight. I wanna win bad so I’ll play my heart out to come home as a sectional champion,” senior Becca Bergman said. For seniors Defoe, Wood, Cain, Herron, Bergman the year has been unbelievable with high expectations, and big results. With not much time to celebrate the win due to the game tomorrow Saturday the 14th the girls look past tonights win and on to tomorrow game. “Tonight was awesome and was a step closer to our goal of winning the sectional. Tomorrow, I feel like the whole team is so excited and have prepared all season for this. Fishers is a great team so we definitely have to bring it but we are up to the challenge!” The Tigers beat the HSE royals by only one point and previously in the regular season the Millers beat both teams. They look to repeat history, and do it again.
